Appalachia Relief currently has a large social media reach (one of our recent posts had 80,000+ views) and our goal for #ShoutOutWNC Saturdays is to use that reach to direct volunteers, financial donations, and attention to where it belongs — small grassroots orgs continuing to do the hard work on the ground.
Big, established nonprofits have whole teams who make their social media successful. Small grassroots orgs often struggle to get views, likes, and follows on social media, which can make it hard to get your work seen and your needs heard. Strategic boosts and sharing by pages with a large reach can help with this!
