Road Information District 12 (last update 2/19/25): Overnight snowfall, coupled with ongoing precipitation today, has impacted travel across our seven counties. Teams have been operating around the clock, focusing primarily on Priority A routes to ensure the most heavily trafficked roads remain passable. As of nightfall, A and B routes were reported partially clear but many C routes remain covered with snow. Motorists should anticipate slippery conditions during the morning commute. We strongly encourage drivers to limit travel when possible, especially in flooded areas.

Distribution sites include:

• EAST RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL

• MILLARD SCHOOL

• PIKE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL

• VALLEY ELEMENTARY

• BELFRY ELEMENTARY

• PHELPS ELEMENTARY

• DORTON ELEMENTARY

There will be signs/Markers for instructions where to go at each site.

The child does NOT have to be enrolled in school to qualify for these meals.

Parents/Guardians/Family will be able to pick these meals up at only ONE location. We ask that you choose the location closest to where your child goes to school or to where you live.

School Cafeteria Crews will be there to verify the number of children you have and give you a Car Tag for future meal pick ups. Please keep this as it will speed up distribution for each time.

NOTE: if your children) are not enrolled in school, we ask that if you have a document such as a social security card, insurance card, etc. to bring that to the site. This will help us complete the tags for your meal pick-ups. ***If you don't have a document, please come for pick-up, we will work with you to establish your numbers.

We are praying for our children, families and communities. All of us are thankful to provide these meals for all children ages 1-18.

This also includes high school seniors who are 19. If they are still in high school they are eligible!

DONATIONS: Water distribution announcements will be made on the Breathitt County Emergency Management

Due to cold weather, poor driving conditions, and lack of available space, we have had a difficult time getting a donation drop off site open.

We are being very specific with our request for donations. The impact we have had this disaster is nowhere near the 2022 flooding. And we want to be mindful with limited resources and so many other counties around us have been impacted much worse.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT CLOTHING.

We already have a local donor that will be covering any clothing needs.

If you are interested in donating items to our county please contact Jamie Mullins-Smith at jamieamullins@gmail.com or 606-233-3502.  Cell coverage is spotty text or email is best.

The most requested items are as follows:

Heavy duty Totes
